I miss You

This snowman image is from the Digi Kitty. I stamped the sentiment - I miss You. For the snowflake, I did heat embossing three times with white EP and chalk inked the edges.

Happy Birthday Card

I love this image that I got from the Digital Delights by Louby Loo. It's a freebie until Nov. 30 and this is the link.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I made this card by stamping images repeatedly for the background and using the Embossing Powders that I received from Andrea. The photo didn't come out well though. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

And I like to share what I found this morning from ScrapNgal site. Enjoy this free pdf download with Thanksgiving word art!

Happy Anniversary!

An Anniversary Message
for My Lovely Wife

Although I may not always say
the things I should to you
About how much you mean to me
each day the whole year through,
I hope that you will understand
the things I fail to say
And realize my love for you
grows deeper with each day.

Happy Anniversary

THREE WONDERFUL YEARS
David

Card Signing: Write to a hero! Tuesday, November 17, 2009

I had a successful Card Signing: Write to a hero! event that I combined with my One Year Celebration of Card Making Club with my cardmaking friends during lunch time at work. I made about 100 cards (I lost track the exact number since I keep made cards during the event as well.) and had 48 cards signed and 8 Dear Hero letters back during the day. Some people took some cards with them so that they were going to write over the weekend and bring them back next week. We had a homemade cake, a fruit basket, and cookies (it was very good part as always.) I put the maildrop box and blank cards at my desk to have even more people can join this card signing.

It was so heartfelt experience for me. I didn't sleep much a couple of days to make those cards but I made it through and I was happy to learn that some of them are Veteran's family and they were really grateful for this event.

Since I have been participating in Operation Write Home Bloghop, I've been keep thinking why I drive myself in to this cardmaking for heroes so hard as if this is my life mission here in America. Above all, I really enjoy making cards and I want to participate in OWH because I do appreciate for all of heroes' service for our country since I settled in this country safely and happily. Also I remembered that my father-in-law, David's father who passed away two years ago, was a World War II Veteran and David is also a Veteran who served his military duty in Germany. I didn't bring this up so far because David has been so sad about his father's sudden death and it was a kind of agreement between two of us not to mention about it. However, now I think maybe that's another good reason for me to do this. When I first made a birthday card for my father-in-law, it was so humble one but he really appreciated it. I would like to keep making cards for heroes to honor him as well.

Operation Write Home Veteran's Day Bloghop Saturday, Nov. 14

Our mission: To support our nation’s armed forces by
sending handmade greeting cards to write home on, as
well as cards of gratitude to encourage them.

The hop will start on the Homefront Blog. Click the link to go to their website and please start at the "top of the hop" if you've landed in the middle of the hop. Thank you and enjoy!

To learn more about the reason why we make cards, visit the Hero Blog.

I have a blog candy. Please check it out.

I made this Thank You card for this Veteran's Day Bloghop. When I found out this digtital image at the Edith Designs, I thought that it is a perfect image for this event. I colored the image with color pencils and Copic markers. I used a corner frame punch for the frame. To give white color in this card, I put the white rig rag at the bottom.

This Merry Christmas card will be used as an AnyHero Card on next Tuesday, Nov. 17 when I have a Card Signing Event at work during lunch time with my cardmaking group.

I used an old Hero Art stamp: Diamond Pattern Tree and the sentiment from a new set, colored the tree with Copic Ciao markers and Tombow markers. I did Cuttlebug embossing with the snowflakes folder. Jewels are from the Celebration set of the Paper Company.

This is for Valentine's Day card that I am going to make more with my work colleagues in December. I used two stamps: the one big heart for background and the one with sentiment that I heat embossed. Then I did Cuttlebug embossing with the Swiss Dots. And I attached a ribbon at the tale that I put together with a heart shape button on top of it.

I would like to offer a small gift for those who leave an encouraging comment on my post. I will randomly choose two visitors on Monday, Nov. 23. My small gift will be two digital images that you can find at the Stretch N' Bubbles. I enjoyed playing with Alison's digital image that was created for Lori's birthday, one of my friends at the Card Maker. Please check her digital images and keep two images in your mind. If using a digital image is new to you, it will be a good start and you will have fun, too.

***JUST ADDED
Wow~ Alison is offering a FREEBIE digital image for this special event. This is it. Valentine Love Bird. Please go to her blog to get this freebie before the end of Monday. Stretch N' Bubbles Thanks to Alison!

Thanks again for stopping by and enjoy the rest of this OWH Veteran's Day Bloghopping.

Youe next stop is Shelly's Blog: Inky Hugz!!. I visited her blog earlier and read her posts. I like her beautiful cards. She is offering a blog candy, too. Enjoy hopping!
